An aspiring fantasy, sci-fi and gamelit author, my goal is to craft wholesome stories that uplift, entertain and inspire.
My Story
I'm a current senior in a computer science program, waist-deep in internship applications and portfolio projects.

I started my first story when I was in grade school. My mother still has the loose-leaf paper bound (by twist ties) to my cut-out cardboard book cover, complete with my neat drawing of swords and torches. In middle school I loved to write poetry and music--though I could never finish a song. I became inspired to write novels after watching both Tokyo Ghoul and Sword Art Online concurrently (minor content warning). Since then, I've been developing a sense for what it means to write fiction as a follower of Christ. My current project is called The Vase and is heavily inspired by Sword Art Online and Ready Player One.

Growing up, I struggled with everything math and numbers, so I never thought programming as a career option. Fast-forward to my junior year while pursuing my first bachelors in Kinesiology. The Xbox One released, and with it a little niche game called Project Spark, a game that was basically a simplistic game engine (similar to Dreams). I was hooked on the game's picture-based programming language. Unassuming as its cartoony art style made it appear, its programming was actually surprisingly powerful. After two years of programming GUI and (unfinished) sandbox games in Project Spark, I realized that I had been learning and using trigonometry, linear algebra, algorithms and a bunch of other stuff I never thought I could comprehend. So I guess I owe Microsoft my entire degree...
